1.3 Compilation
of this report
This is the fourth Annual Environmental Report (AER) compiled
by CICL. The report has been written in
response to the requirements of the three licences issued by the NSW
Government, and in response to the requirements of the three LWMPs agreed to by
the NSW Government and CICL. The report
has been written on behalf of the Coleambally, Kerarbury and Outfall District
communities.
This report is divided into 19 chapters. The community aspects have been presented in
the first four chapters, which are then followed by environmental issues in
sequence of water movement within CICL’s operational area. The final chapter focuses on compliance
issues.
Significant improvement in presentation has been achieved
with this AER through its publication in digital format. This has enabled a flexible layout design
for user-friendliness and easy location of required information. Digital formatting has also been adopted to
automate various sections of the report and to make the report available to
licensing bodies and the general public at the web site http://env.colyirr.com.au/AER2001. A printable version of the AER 2001 is
available through the publications page at the web site http://www.colyirr.com.au.
All reporting has been undertaken using the most appropriate
land management unit. CICL recognises
that the use of different land management units may be confusing, but this is
believed to be the best way to demonstrate progress. Definitions of the land management units can be seen in Table
1.1.

Report 2001
An environmental database has been linked with the AER
2001. For each environmental aspect
this database describes its level of risk, potential impact, likelihood of
occurrence, control, objectives and targets.
The status of implementation is also indicated.
A large number of names and terms have been abbreviated
throughout the AER 2001. The list of acronyms at the end of the report should
be referred to for definitions.
CICL is committed to continuous improvement and consistently
seeks more efficient and user-friendly techniques for presenting its
environmental credentials and challenges.
